Looking to Nature
The natural world has provided us with so much, including the answers to many of our health problems. This is why many pharmaceuticals drugs are themselves derived from plants. People have known about the power of natural plants and minerals for thousands of years, but the Western world has been experiencing a kind of amnesia, where we had forgotten the knowledge of our ancestors. However, times are changing and scientific researchers have been studying the efficacy of “folk medicines” and finding out that they have a whole lot to offer our modern world.
Besides just utilizing the wonders of nature for our benefit, a healthy person also must exist in the natural world. Far too many people are disconnected from the Earth, living in concrete jungles with only a few plants around as decoration. Countless studies have shown the positive impact sunlight and plants can have on the overall wellbeing of people. While we cannot sell you the power of sunbathing by the ocean, hiking through an old growth forest, or swimming in a running river, we can certainly recommend that you get out there and find your own pieces of paradise, wherever they might be.
It is absolutely crucial for our health and wellbeing that we look after the health and wellbeing of our world.
Avoiding Waste
While most of us are sick of being blamed for global warming (now “climate change”) while big corporations with government contracts spew toxic chemicals into our atmosphere, doing everything we can to reduce pollution is imperative. What kind of world will be leaving to future generations if we have microplastics in absolutely everything (including our own bodies), massive trash islands in the oceans, the Amazon being clearcut at an alarming pace, and water full of toxic chemicals? While one person alone cannot tackle these issues, if we all do a part and choose to do business with companies that seek a better future, little actions can go a long way.
You might notice that some of our labels do not go all the way around our bottles. This is on purpose. Not only does it save us the cost of purchasing larger labels (allowing us to pass those savings along to you), using smaller labels saves more trees from having to get cut down. All of the information is still being conveyed to you, but since we are not trying to compete on store shelves, we do not need to use all of the space on our products to market to customers. Besides, our bottles are pretty nice looking, which is why we encourage you to clean them out when you are done and re-use them however you see fit. While not every one of our bottles is glass right now, we are working to get the most eco-friendly product line possible.
Instead of buying large rolls of cheap bubble wrap, you will notice that our packaging material is often an assortment re-used bubble wraps from shipments sent here, paper wrap, and whatever else we can use to get the job done. Again, even small steps make a difference.
Helping People
There are many businesses out there that will sell you products that they know will get you addicted via their chemical concoctions, make you obese, and lead to a life of ill-health. People at these companies will make excuses about needing to make profits for their shareholders, just giving the consumers what they want, or denying the negative effects of their products and pleading ignorance. “It’s just business,” they say. However, it does not have to be this way. A good company will only sell products to people that will benefit their lives.
